Isn’t there something so special about an intensely foggy day in the PNW? The world seems to transform into something entirely different; an ethereal, otherworldly place. The spirit realm can somehow seem closer on these days, and there’s a feeling of deep, comforting wisdom combined with the sharp awareness of being alive.
I had such an experience on a summer day at Silver Lake in Everett, WA. Although the sun was intense, it could barely be seen through the dense layer of mist over the water. I watched in awe as the world unfolded before me as I had never seen before. The lake was like glass, and mist swirled around the trees in a soft embrace. I knew that I had to pay tribute to this miracle.
